Hermione and Severus are soo perfect together! I wish others would realise it. There's nobody else whose as brillant as the other is and if you think about it Hermione's like the available Lily...smart,kind hearted,& a muggle-born Gryffindor. So we still get to have Harry Potter, Hermione and Sev live happilly ever after and Ron can go shag Lavender or something :) Posted over a year ago

Haha true! But i don't like a relationship where Severus substitutes Lily with Hermione:/ But I like the scenario where everyone is happy and Ron is shagging Lavender lol! over a year ago

My fav fanfics are not written with Hermione as a reminder/stand-in for Lily. Or, as Severus forgetting Lily because he wasn't 'really' in love with her. They're written as 2 people, with baggage (there's always baggage in life, isn't there?), getting to know each other as people. And finding they are compatible. And Hermioine makes the perfect doppleganger for that. Because writing her as 'adult' Hermione, you can see her with any qualities you really want to add. (And that's were 'Mary Sue' was born from, I know...LOL.) The other women from HP, well, they are to distinct of character to be completely re-edited the way Hermione can be. And the 2 things that define Hermione's character are such a perfect foil for some of Severus' - intelligence and loyalty - that they make perfect sense in a way. Of course, I love to ship other Severus ships as well, but my favorite so far has been SSHG because of the versitility that it has. over a year ago
