The people who own the Terminator franchise also own the Sarah Connor Chronicles. The producers of the Terminator movies have no interest in the Sarah Connor Chronicles TV series. The writers for the movies are different from the writers for the TV series. The casts are different. Back in 2007, the show was originally known as "The Sarah Connor Chronicles" in promos and teasers before premiere air date. and then they tacked on that albatross "Terminator" and dragged the show down.
