I really don’t care how many Finchel fans there are, or how many iTunes sales they have. Rachel giving up her dreams for a guy who doesn’t know what he wants to eat for breakfast, let alone do with his life? And the rest of the scene is the most 50s sexist crap, where she says he is her dream, and he’s where she belongs, not stardom and New York. And I never really liked this pairing, but Finchel is dead to me now, and whoever decided to assassinate Rachel’s character like this is, too. Posted over a year ago

Damn have I had a compleate turn around on Finchel this season. Last season it was cute. First season I wanted them to get together. Now Finn is probably the 5th I'll ship Rachel with. over a year ago

^ I know. Season One I wanted them together. Season Two they were cute. In Season Three I catch myself saying "oh god make it stop." I don't ship them together at all anymore. I'm all for Finndependence and Rachel/Broadway. over a year ago

I really think they're looking at this the wrong way, I really liked Rachel in that scene because yes Rachel in season one would never have done that but Rachel in season 1 as much as she amused me was selfish, self absorbed and only ever thought of herself, Rachel was growing up, she was marrying the guy for goodness sake and a marraige isn't just signing something on a piece of paper, it's a commitment, you're not number one anymore, you have to think about the other person in the relationship and not just yourself, that's what she was doing for once, she was growing up, putting her partner's life before her own and if she's really going to be getting married to him she's going to have to get used to it. over a year ago

Completely agree with @mangie1995. It is weird to me how some people on this spot either hate Rachel because she is willing to do anything for her dream then when she tries to grow up and be mature the other half of the fandom get angry at her. The character can not please everyone. But I am enjoying watching her grow up. over a year ago

I understand where you're coming from, but she isn't giving up her dream, they're going to New York together to have a shot at their dreams (broadway for rachel and acting for Finn.) To me, all she was saying in that scene was that she loves him and wants him to have his own dream. They are compromising, which is exactly what I've been hoping will happen. I love them as a couple and as seperate characters and now they've reached a wonderful place where neither is giving up their dreams for the other and they're staying together. And as for the rest, pretty much what mangie and pinklove said :) over a year ago

^ yes, they can be together now, but that was not the plan in the scene. Finn had no idea what he wanted at that point. If he had decided to go to California, Rachel would have to have given up Broadway for LA. over a year ago
