The Lion Queens Of India: An All–Women Animal Rescue Team
tells the story of an all-women animal rescue team working in Gir National Park, which is the last known habitat for Asiatic Lions in the world.
In 2007, the Gujarat government opened new job opportunities for women in the forest department. Instead of taking office positions, several women opted for field jobs as animal rescue foresters, dedicating their lives to looking after the lions, leopards and other wildlife that inhabit the forest.
Whether confronting lions, wrestling with pythons, rescuing leopards, fighting poachers, or nursing cubs, despite the extreme dangers these women face on a daily basis, they show an unwavering commitment to preserving the wildlife, no matter what it takes.
This trailer is a sneak peek at a recurring series on
