It was the day of the annual parade in the hometown of the Vocaloid world. With the parade around meant lots of volunteering. While most of the people already chosen their parts in the parade, Hatsune Miku was depressed because she currently has no part in the parade at all. She tried coming to many of her friends for advice, but none of them helped her because they were busy getting ready for tonight. Poor Miku was just full of shame and loneliness. What could she do that would be the biggest highlight in the parade?

That was when she found it: out in the clearness of the streets, she discovered a little flyer that was looking for a leading singer to perform on one of the few great floats in the parade. She took one of the flyers and showed it to some of her friends, hoping they would agree that her being the leading performer in the parade would be the best opportunity to take part in the big event. Despite her asking what they thought, none of them agreed that this was a good idea. This shattered Miku's heart even worse than before when her friends couldn't even help her with choosing what to do. With tears of despair, she left the city and fled to the country side where she sobbed her tears away. Before long, Miku was approached by a familiar figure that seemed to have been in this side of the country as well. It was Len who happened to be out in the country for the same reason as she was- too much to work with.

Miku shared her story about wanting to enter to be the leading singer of the parade but was told off by the other Vocaloids. Len was shocked because they had no reason to deny her request. For that, he helped her by signing her up for the leading singer part. This made Miku very happy, knowing that she had a friend she could trust and would support her in any direction. Miku later asked Len why he ran away from Rin when he was supposed to help her get ready for tonight. Len explained that he couldn't stand the drama that was coming from her- he said that she was seeking control over the whole project when he didn't get a chance to help with anything. She felt bad for Len but knew there was nothing she could to solve this. That would change however when Rin came running through town looking for Len. After finding out where he was, she started to apologize for her temper and all what she wanted to do was be ready for the big night. Len accepted her apology and decided to return home with her to continue finishing what they left out. Before leaving, he wished Miku good luck in the parade. With a big smile, she wished Len and Rin the same as well.

The big night soon came and every Vocaloid member participated in the parade. By the time most of the floats passed, it was Miku's turn to be the center spotlight. Once when her float came through the street lights, everyone cheered and was surprised to see her on stage- singing great songs. The parade was a big hit again for the year and Miku finally got part of the fun. But as the parade came to a close, Miku was in her bedroom fast asleep. This would be the greatest night she has ever experienced as not only did she get to participate in the parade with her friends, but it was her first time to be part of the big event and would next year be part of it again.
