Her lips trembled as I began to pull back. “Please Alice; you know it’s only for two days.” I said searching her eyes, my hand running carefully along her back.

She was speechless.

“You know I hate to be away from you too, but this is something I have to do alone, you’ve inspired me to find out more about my past but I have to do it alone.” I said moving my hand to brush the length of her cheek.


Her beautiful face was washed with pain and sadness was rolling over me like waves. I almost gave in and told her I was going to stay with her but she spoke, her expression clearing.


“If this really is something you have to do alone, I guess I have to deal with it.” She said that irresistible pout slipping onto her lips.


“Thank you.” I whispered. Kissing her passionately, are lips lingered together longer than I had planned.


“When are you leaving?” She whispered, her sweet breath sweeping across my face.


“Now.” I said, pulling away from her. I felt her try to stop her emotions for hitting me but it didn’t work too well.


“I love you Jazz.” She smiled as best as she could.


“I love you too Alice.” I whispered kissing her once more before I turned around heading out the front door.
