which character was the first character that u liked most from beginning of twilight book...(not movie)

I liked Charlie the most at first. I loved the nervous effort he put forth to make Bella feel welcomed.

I didn't begin to like Bella until I saw the way she handled boys who she wasn't into.
I didn't like Edward at all until 3/4 into the book.
I didn't like Jacob much until New Moon.

I dont really remember which one i liked first,but its a three way tie between the book versions of edward,bella and alice(but i also love esme and emmett,too).all the cullens are great,along with renee and even though he didnt appear until eclipse i also love seth,he is my fave wolf!!!

I like edward the most from the very beginning
i really dont know why maybe because of the way he looks after bella .he is so protective and the fact that bella was his first love even though he live like what hundred.so his true love was the one that i admired in him.
and oh everything abt him. i have even imagined me in bella's place.

i didnt like bella so much cos of the way she treats guys.
i also love alice.
