"I'm not small, I'm as tall as you James!!!" I scowled.
James is the only one who also feels the same way I do about this dirty, loud school. He has dirty blonde hair(darker than mine) and smoulder golden eyes. He is a bit lanky but is very athletic, his long legs help him with his hard core track. He is probably the only person I can act naturally around. Especially when there is no Nick making me totally self conscience.
"Your smaller than Mr. Bova." He stated as he droped the book he had in his hands from his face.
"By height or by wieght?." I snickered at him. My music teacher is obese, very plump and very tall, 6"1. The beard he has on his face doesn't help his image either.
"Both", he laughed. He then held up the book in his hands.," You have to read this book! It's the best book since 'Secrets of Brook Bank'." He handed me the book.
" 'The Death in All' " I read aloud." Sounds interesting, but aren't you supposed to be studying for that test for science?" James and I both had the same teacher for science but different class periods. Mrs. Juno was a very small lady, she just got her teaching degree for science. Mrs. Juno has white puffy hair and very tiny glasses, so she squints alot.
" Oh yah", remembered James looking like someone punched him in the stomach." That reminds me. I invited a kid from class to come in here so we could study together."
"Oh great." I rolled my eyes. Lots of kids take advantage of the honor roll kids, making us do their homework, or have us tell them what the questions are to tests. The usual. "Fine, I'll just read a book."
"Can you actually help us?" begged James."Its about the ways of chemical reactions." He looked desparate.
I glared at him." You know just as much as I do. Is this another troubled one?"
"Yah." He replied. "Clueless when it comes to science, but relly smart at math. Can you please help me with this one?"
I stared at him for a while in silence. I hate it when he doesn't tell me these things before hand. "Fine." I closed my eyes and breathed. I really do hate when he tells me things at the last second. But he's just so lovable you have to forgive him.
"Thanks Anna." James said. For the next minite or so we just sat there in silence. He finally broke the silence, switching to a new topic. "Did you get the letter yet?"
"No." I replied. We both don't want to go to the high school that the eigth graders of Carter Middle School goes to. There is a lottery high school that we want to go to instead of the public high school, Beach Front. Beach Front is a technology school that we both want to go to. To be accepted you get a letter and a packet. The letter should be coming any time soon.
"Me niether." James then looked out the window and smiled. "Here he comes."
I turned to look at James's science classmate. I froze, for a moment I couldn't breath. He looked like a ghost to me, like he wasn't real, an apparation. His dark eyes staring back at me, in the doorway was Nick.

"no" Kyle said. "I'm so sorry."
"What for? you were always there for us, what else could you have done?" James said.
"I could've been more of a brother, instead of your leader." Kyle said and looked at his brother.
"But then what would I have gotten angry at you for then?" James said they smiled at each other.
"Take care of them.Kyle said, " Kyle croaked, "Please?" James nodded "I will." James wanted to say dont go or something, but he knew it was time. "I'll be watching you, hot-head." he said.
James looked down and didn't speak.
"I wish it were different to." Kyle told him. James hugged Kyle tightly, "Say hi to mum for me"
"I will, bye" Kyle cried on James' shoulder and he cried on Kyle's. "To let you know, I do need you."
"Your a funny kind of brother, aren't you!?" Kyle whispered. "Goodbye." said James.
"Look under my bed, remember Sheila" his eyelids growing heavy. "James. You couldn't have stopped this"
"What do I do without you?" James asked.
"Live on"
