This story has been bugging me ever since I brainstormed it yesterday so I though might as well write it:
Alli Hanson sat bored in her Geography class, waiting for her teacher to stop droning on about world war 2 and dismiss the class, so they could finally go home. She started to scan the class trying to guess what everyone was thinking when a white boy caught her eye and she focused in on him trying to see if he would turn around and look at her.
Rick Duncan felt a pair of eyes boring into the back of his head, when the class was dismissed he stood up and turned around to see a black girl staring at him still. She smiled shyly and moved her gaze away to the window as she too stood up and packed her bag with books and quickly moving past him, shyly saying hi to him as she past.
An hour later as she was coming home from her friends house she ran into the boy she'd had her eyes own in class with a group of his friends around him. As she past them someone stuck out his hand and started to speak to her," hey little girly you staring at my boy earlier, just don't do it again, you black people sicken me going after us." He pushed her to the ground and all his friends, including the boy she'd been whatching, started laugh and kick her sides, she was crying and bleeding as they left ger there. She managed to get up and hobble slowly home blood soaking her shorts from the scars and gashes they'd left on her side.
Rick and his friends joked around about beating the black girl up hours after it actually happened, though Rick thought he would feel bad about doing it, but he strangely enjoyed it. And couldn't wait to do it again
sorry its short but I have to do something and anyway I introduced the 2 characters I'm going to be using as a pov for the whole book and hope you like it

Now that you left me....
My soul is crying
Out to the world
Above me.
Now that you left me....
I couldn't figure out
How to go on with life
And I stayed right on....
With my despair.
Now that you left me....
You broke my heart,
And now it's covered in broken glass,
Oh broken glass......
It's time to move on now...
But I can't help feeling the tragedy
Of that lonesome night...
How the world jeered at me.
The world hurt me.
There's no more hope left,
So face the truth.
I am a piece of broken glass,
Shimmering in the dark and dreary night
My heart broke
When it felt like the end of the world...
And boy, was it the end of the world.
I was broken glass,
And nobody seemed to care about me.
I am broken glass.
I am heartbroken.
I am...
No more.
My soul is crying
Out to the world
Above me.
Now that you left me....
I couldn't figure out
How to go on with life
And I stayed right on....
With my despair.
Now that you left me....

The power of love,
It can take you to many places,
And it will bring
Many good things to this world
The power of love
It will bring many people together
We will bond
And the world will get together
The greatest minds will form
And we will live in unity
Love is certainly
A powerful object
Love
Is amazing,
For it can do anything possible,
But it can be very hurtful.
Love
Can bring all the people
Of the world together,
Together once at last
The power of love
Can never be explained,
For it is amazing
Exactly because of that.
It can take you to many places,
And it will bring
Many good things to this world
The power of love
It will bring many people together
We will bond
And the world will get together
The greatest minds will form
And we will live in unity
