Does anyone ask before they take art from Deviantart?

I was just looking through the fan art and found a lot of stuff that are by artists on DA. I know you guys are crediting "deviantart" but you're supposed to credit the artist, in other wards their user account. Also most artistes like you to ask before you take.

I don't mean to be rude or offend anyone, but this actually makes a lot of deviants upset.(I'm one of them :])

And I'm not saying that all people who have posted art from DA haven't asked the artistes or haven't credited them.

Yeah, good question. Neat that someone did ask this question, because art theft is not cool.
