What's up with the anime?

Everyone is obsessed with anime now and all over the tdi spot I see "liek omg I LOVE (title of anime show)!!!!!!! (character) is my fave!!!!!!" and "here's my fanfic ___ in anime form!!!!!!"
there are more anime things than tdi things. what's up with that?

me too, but some of the classics are good like Pokemon, Drangon Ball Z and Yu-gi-oh
