The Story of Edgar Sawtelle in my opinion is one of the best written books in the modern age. The vivid descriptions the author provides are so believable it makes you feel like you live in the story too. The characters are all easy to visualize too. This story like any other had its ups and downs, the middle of the story after Gar died seemed to drag a bit. The parts where Edgar is on his journey in Chequamegon were the most fascinating to me.
