As soon as Hazel exchanged another message with John finding out where exactly he was, she messaged her friends in a group chat. I won’t let anything happen to John, she vowed. I’m protecting him whether he likes it or not! She sent her friends a message saying: “Hi, guys, we’ve got a job to do. John Lennon is in danger, and we’re going to shield him.”
Within minutes, she received replies back saying things like, “Johnny’s in danger??” “What kind of danger, Hazel?” “What are we doing about it?” “You can count on us!” as well as a number of worried face emojis.
Hazel...

The Internet was first invented in 1943, and by the late fifties, it was in common use, as people discovered more and more uses for it. One of its many uses that made it so popular was for bands to share and promote their music.
The Beatles, of course, were one of the biggest Internet presences around. On every site they joined, they had more likes, comments, and followers than they knew what to do with. Their inboxes were flooded with fanmail. Their videos were viewed and their tracks downloaded millions of times per day. The Beatles loved their fans and would respond to as much of the fan...

Paul walked me back to the hostel, but there was an awkward silence between us now. I knew Paul was thinking I had freaked out on him for no reason, and probably thought I was crazy. And I was just too horrified to speak. How could I have prevented my favourite band of all time from ever getting together?!
I couldn’t sleep that night. I lay awake for hours, tossing and turning, thinking about what I had done. What sort of world would I be going back to at the end of the week, if the Beatles had never existed? How dull and lifeless would everything be? I didn’t want to think about it. I wanted...

The next morning, John and Paul were having breakfast. After they finished, they heard a knock on the door. John asked, "Who could that be at this hour?" Paul replied, "It might be George or Ringo." The knocking continued. Paul said, "Don't worry; I'll get it." He went to answer the door. Standing before him were some young people, probably in their late teens or early twenties. He figured they must be fans. He asked, "May I help you?" A girl spoke up and said, "I'm Hazel, and these are my friends, Candice and Jeremy. I have some more of my friends coming soon. Evanna and some others are in...

Once Paul's mind was made up, he decided to get started right away. He packed some of his things in a backpack, a few changes of clothes and his pocket money, but also a lot of records and other musical items. His guitar was put into its case and set lovingly by the door where it would be ready to go as soon as he needed it.
Dinner was very quiet, partly because Paul and Jim had just argued, but mostly because Paul didn't want to accidentally let slip anything about his plans and make his dad suspicious. After dinner he excused himself quickly and slipped away upstairs.
Paul waited until he heard...

The small army of Beatles fans formed a strong double line in front of Paul’s front door, blocking the entrance and shielding the Beatles within. Hazel, of course, was front and centre, with Jeremy on one side of her and Candice on the other. Hazel’s heart pounded in her chest. Now the moment had come, she was filled with a sudden fear, but she was determined not to let it show.
“Go away!” she said, her voice strong and commanding, and hardly shaking at all. “We won’t let you get John. You’ll have to get past all of us first, and then...” But here she stopped, knowing that if...

This is what I think would've happened if John Lennon had lived. I was inspired to write this after seeing an aged photo of what John Lennon might have looked like if he had lived.
So this is basically fake headlines of what I think could've been of a promising life gone far too soon and taken tragically.

What should have been:

This just in! John Lennon announces he has joined social media! Spreads message of peace and hope to millions!

John Lennon's new album goes digital! Already hits # 1 on Billboard!

John and Yoko Ono Lennon celebrate wedding anniversary! Reveals secret to long and happy marriage!...

I can’t really explain what it feels like to be sucked into the past. It’s not an unpleasant feeling, but it sure is a strange one, sort of like being tugged backwards and then feeling like you’re nowhere for a few minutes, almost like you’re reloading yourself. That’s the best way I can describe it. Eventually they say they’ll perfect time travel so that it’ll be instantaneous and you won’t feel a thing, but for now, this is what we’ve got.
At last I felt my feet touching the ground, and I looked up to find myself in a small alleyway between two brick walls, without any people...

The Harrisons and Jim McCartney stood once again inside the police station, where they had taken to coming every day, refusing to give up hope, even though by now their boys had been gone for a month.
"I've told you, there's been no sign of either of them," the officer on duty said. "I'm not sure how much longer we'll be able to handle this case anyway. No one here's seen the young McCartney boy in all this time, so we're assuming he's left Liverpool. No, it's true -" as Mr McCartney opened his mouth to argue - "we've checked the area pretty thoroughly and put up posters all over the place....

Hello, Beatlefellows! Peaceandlove67 here, and I'm going to name my favorite Beatles songs and why. I'd like to give a shout out to ChiliPepperLuv for inspiring this idea. This excludes cover songs. They have to be exclusively by the Beatles.

1. "Helter Skelter"
The reason this song is my favorite is that I love the overall sound of the song. I love the guitar riff, the drum beat, and the vocals. I also love the ending. "I've got blisters on my fingers!"

2. "It's Only Love"
I really like this song, because it's sweet, simple, and overall, it's a beautiful song. "It's only love, and that is all."...

-What To Live By-
Four young gents from Liverpool once told me, "The Love You Make Is Equal To The Love You Take." And in retrospect, they couldn't be any more right. Many people try to live by one philosophy, like "Give and you shall receive," or "There are no foolish questions, only foolish people." Bt, in reality, this is not a soap box article about philosophies to live by, but how one rock group changed my life forever.

-The Early Stages-
Rock music has never been a stranger to me, since I have experienced it since my dad first blasted Springsteen on my way home from the hospital. I can sing...

John couldn’t sleep.
All night long, that awful video, the sound of those gunshots, kept playing through his head. John tossed and turned, and whenever he did fall into an uneasy sleep, the memories would get worse, and he had troubled dreams in which he was actually killed, or that one of his mates tried to save him and was killed instead, and he would wake up again in a cold sweat.
It seemed like morning would never come, but eventually it did, bringing with it its own set of problems. The last thing John wanted to do was to leave the house and face his mates, possibly endangering them, or...

Paul stared at me, clearly shocked, and I had slight misgivings, wondering if what I had said was considered very rude in the nineteen fifties. But I was desperate! I only had four days left to get Paul to meet John! I had to try something.
“Wales?” Paul repeated. “You want me to take you on a date to Wales?”
“Well... I....” What to say? I could hardly tell him his future bandmate was going there.... “I thought it would be nice,” I improvised. “I never really travel anywhere.” That was true. “And besides – ” on sudden inspiration – “I hear there are opportunities...

Paul didn’t help me get off the train.
I never thought I would care or even notice that a boy didn’t try and help me jump down from a not-quite-stopped-yet train when I could get down just as well myself. That sort of thing just wasn’t done in my time and was even considered rude. But I’d gotten so used to Paul holding my hand and helping me in and out of places that when he jumped off without lending me a hand, I felt a little empty inside.
I jumped down on my own, landing not very gracefully on the ground. I could see the station a little ways off in the distance, where the train was...

Paul - so he gives you a back massage. He works your shoulders and upper back, before starting on the lower back. It gets all of your worries out and the knots that the trying day has forced into your back. You feel refreshed and so much happier when he’s done you can spend the rest of the night cuddling up.

John - so he plays you a song. It may be a new one he wants you to listen to and give your feedback on or it may be a classic cover of your favourite song. It just makes you feel so at home and happier after the awful day you’ve had. You can unwind to the beautiful sound of his guitar....

My number one Beatles fan was there when the Beatles came to America; she watched them on Ed Sullivan and told me stories all about it, the excitement she felt that night, the songs. Oh, yes she was there, she always tell me completely memorized.
My number one Beatles fan passed on her 45’ Beatles singles to me which is where I learned why she loved them in the first place. She'd even sing along to the music. She even told about owning every Beatles trading card and record before losing them all in a flood but yet she remembered every song and picture, including her favorite Beatle, George...

“When are we going to join John and Paul?” Ringo asked. “In... you know where I mean. I’d like to be with them.”
“It’ll look too suspicious if we all leave for... that place,” George pointed out. “John would be too easy to find.”
They were sitting in a small café having breakfast, a place where not too many people came over wanting their autographs, but they were still careful not to mention the name of John’s hiding place as long as they were in public.
Ringo frowned. “So we’re not goin’ to join them? I’m not just leaving John at a time like this!”
“I don’t...

You all know about me - the girl who could never pick a favourite Beatle. I never answered the "Who is your favourite Beatle?" polls. I could never have chosen between those four equally loveable boys. To choose one would have seemed somehow disloyal to the other three.

Except now I have.

In my early days of fandom, I did sort of have a favourite. I never really wanted to pick one then, either, until one day my dad asked me who was my favourite Beatle. Of course I loved them all so much in different ways, but I had been particularily attracted to John's charming smile, and the way he could outwit...

Everyone had a great time exploring the Palace and learning more about its story and secrets in each room they visited. The tour was made extra fun with the Beatles and Philip joking around, which gave Laura and Elizabeth a good laugh. After seeing most of the rooms, they went out to the balcony. George said, "What a magnificent view from up here!" Philip replied, "Yes, it is! Just perfect for a lovely afternoon." Elizabeth said, "And this was where my husband and I greeted the crowds when we got married as well as during my coronation. We certainly admire the view!" Laura said, "Indeed! I...

Paul - “Y/N is such a ditz (60s slang for idiot) she doesn’t deserve Paul at all, if anything, we should marry him!” the fan girls all chanted outside your window. You could hear everything they were saying and you began feeling increasingly bad about yourself. You heard someone sighing behind you and as you spun around you noticed it was Paul. He placed his hands on your shoulders and led you away from the window and the audible criticisms. He then made his way back to the window, and poked his head out. Screams erupted but quietened down as Paul shook his head “Girls, I know that...
