TOP Media & TEEN TOP revealed to have filed a lawsuit against netizens who spread rumors about chart manipulation

It\'s been belatedly revealed that TEEN TOP and their agency filed a lawsuit against 4 netizens who were responsible for spreading rumors claiming that the group was involved in sajaegi (a method used for chart manipulation).

Osen that the lawsuit had been filed last month on October 2 citing defamation against 4 individuals.

TOP Media confirmed to Star News recently, "We filed a lawsuit against 4 individuals who spread false rumors about album sajaegi when \'TEEN TOP 20\'S LOVE ONE EXITO\' was released in September for defamation of character... The police found the people and went into investigation.. Among them, there are those in their teens and twenties... Afterwards, we held a personal meeting with these individuals and most of them said they were reflecting on their actions and pleaded for mercy... We are currently deciding on whether to show leniency."

Missing" for a successful promotion. However, it wasn\'t all smooth sailing as netizens raised suspicions of sajaegi and the rumors heated up even further when 2PM\'s Jun.K posted an ambiguous tweet. This led to fanwars, and Taecyeon had to step up to ask Angels and HOTTEST to stop their feud.

lol it\'s unbelieveable how people still argue about that and even say everything is lie in this article only to blame 2pm or that they are sore loser...get over it

Now this only bring up the wars between hottest and angels... tsk.. tsk.. i am an angels as well as hottest.. then, should i take a look at mirror an argue with myself then? People should get over it. I don\'t know what is the relevant in arguing bout it. ~_~

All idol groups work hard first of all.

i\'ve been a fan of any popular/slightly popular group ever since their debut days including 2pm & teentop. but i kinda lost respect to 2pm (well, hottest even more) ever since nichkhun-block b thing. like "how can an idol started their own fanwar?" and it happened AGAIN with junkay. maybe it\'s not from teentop, if that so why must you tweet that? i just didn\'t get any of this.

just admit that in korea 2pm isn\'t as famous as before. teentop also deserves their winnings.

Honestly even if they are just teens do not show leniency and push through the lawsuit. I know this may seem cruel especially since I\'m sure they are already pleading for mercy but what they did is still wrong!! They spread false rumor and accuse Teen Top of doing sajaegi when there really is no proof. They defame them. I\'m not a Teen Top fan but nobody deserved to be blamed and accuse just because they won an award. And even if yes they are teens and probably mad because their oppa did not win and did not even think of the consequences when they spread the rumor but what can we do what they did is against the law since that is libel so now they should pay the price of their stupid actions. 

I really hope TOP Media do not just forgive them because they are teenager and are sorry. I will even applaud them if they push through the lawsuit.

Honestly, it was quite stupid of Jun.K to post something like that. I\'ve been at war with a bunch of butthurt Hottests, who kept saying "it was totally Teen Top, no way a

nugu group could beat 2PM"... Oh please, 2PM isn\'t even relevant anymore, Go Crazy was a weak comeback.

@ uwaah Oh please, you act as if you\'re any better when it seems like the comments you make are intended to spur on these fanwars you speak of. A lot of those "butthurt hottests" saying teen top are a "nugu" group are actually trolls that are trying to add oil to the fire. Although Jun.K should not have posted such an ambiguous message at such a bad time, one can\'t put all the blame for this fanwar on him and "butthurt hottests", as angels did take a part in it too and are not all completely innocent either, especially ones like you who make such remarks about 2pm in defense of teen top. This makes you no better than those "butthurt hottests", and two wrongs do not make a right, regardless of who started the war. If one truly wished to stop it, the best method is to do what Taecyeon advised and just stop fighting/arguing with each other. In other words, stop saying things that will obviously start arguments, such as the teen top being a "nugu" group comments and your comment about 2pm being irrelevant, especially when it was starting to die down and people just have to bring it back up...

TeenTop is hard working idol group. They willing to hold concerts in some countries, even those concert not big. They practice really hard so they could do great live performances. And their voice and dance keep going better. They are nice to their fans, they always give update on their youtube channel.

They deserve to success and win in music shows, just like their senior. Jun.k\'s ambiguous  tweet right after TeenTop winning is really bad. It hurts some people who love TeenTop. I think a lawsuit is a way to prove and clear TeenTop name. Because many people still under estimate them and too arrogant to believe that junior can beat a senior.

So did Top Media sue on the other occasion when a similar accusation was made?

The problem is that it is not going to stop netizens from making negative comments.

This is not just a simple negative comment. Negative comments or criticism =/= spreading false rumor. What this netizens did is libel, they totally fake things up, spread and claim that Teen Top did sajaegi. They did not just assume nor criticize they stated it as facts and showing fake proof. It was all over DC, Pann etc. before. That is why this falls under libel and is therefore a crime. If they just leave negative comments in TT then that is not libel and can\'t be prosecuted by the law.

2pm sucks, they\'re not even popular anymore,,,, fossil

Seriously, people need to stop with the "2pm are sore losers" and "2pm are just mad they lost to (their hoobaes)" when they don\'t even have their facts straight. That was not the first time that they lost, and most likely not the first time they lost to hoobaes either. As many people have mentioned, often in a more rude way, 2pm\'s popularity in Korea is obviously not the same as it was before their long hiatus and scandals, and I think it\'s pretty clear that even they themselves and their company realize that, which is why they\'ve been promoting so much overseas, mainly in Japan and China. So, they probably didn\'t expect much from this comeback, seeing as their Grown one only got them one win as well. The point is, they\'ve lost before and are used to losing, even if they weren\'t before, such as during their peak. So it\'s not so much that 2pm need to learn to lose, but more that the people who are using this against them saying that they\'re too arrogant to acknowledge their decline in popularity and loss to a newer group are the ones that need to learn something.
