Supergirl - Italia Ricci Cast in a Major Recurring Role as the Villain Silver Banshee

Chasing Life star Italia Ricci has joined CBS’ superhero drama in a major recurring role – and she’ll be causing trouble for Kara Danvers (Melissa Benoist), ETonline has exclusively learned.

Ricci will play Siobhan Smythe, Cat Grant\'s latest hire at CatCo, who at first becomes a work nemesis for Kara but proves a more deadly foe for Supergirl when she becomes DC villain Silver Banshee.

"We are so excited to be working with Italia. We\'ve been a fan of her work for years and we cannot wait to see her take on this iconic comic book role,” executive producer Andrew Kreisberg said in an exclusive statement.

In the comics, Silver Banshee has superhuman strength, speed, endurance, agility, an impressive ability to resist attacks and a gift for languages. She often uses her sonic-based abilities to weaken her victims.
