(This is my first attempt at writing a book from a 1st person POV, so I'm writing from Cyber's.)
It was a normal day. Really. It was. I was outside training, and I could tell Alpha was working hard inside, because I could hear Topaz crying and I could smell dinner cooking. However, this day was going to turn out...different. I could just feel it...
I walked into the house after training for about 2 hours.
"Train hard enough out there, dear?" Alpha had asked me with a smile.
"I guess so, but something just feels...off. Like, something's gonna be different about today..." I replied. "What do you mean?" Alpha asked worriedly, setting my dinner in front of me. "I just...don't think today's gonna go like we planned..." I replied with a sigh. As I said that, Topaz's crying instantly stopped, as if something had, I dunno, hurt her or something. I looked up at Alpha, and she ran over to Topaz's crib. Shortly after, I heard a loud scream. I rushed up to see what was wrong, and I saw a black fog enveloping them both. "Alpha!!" I exclaimed worriedly, reaching out my hand to help her.
But......
But what?
But I was too late...she was gone...
"A-Alpha!!!!" I shouted in terror, unable to believe I had just lost her AND my daughter. Looking around for a way to find them, the black fog stumbled upon me and began to speak...
"So, those girlsssssssss we took from here mean ssssssssomething to you, Echidna of Wind?" the fog had asked me. "Where did you take them?!" I asked angrily. "If you calm down, we will take you to them..." the fog had replied, beginning to make me feel dizzy...
Then...blacked out. I can't remember much of anything until later than that.
Oh. What's the next thing you remember?
Well...
I had awoken in a strange world, near a city. Rather than being a cold Mobian winter, this was a pleasant Alien spring...a light breeze blew a paper towards me...I think it said "ELEMENTANIAN WEEKLY: EF Gang Charity Concert Big Hit!!!!!!"...I had no idea where I was, or how I'd gotten there, or for what purpose...I just knew I had to find Alpha and Topaz, and I had to do it fast...
