Shugo Chara Question

Wait...Nadeshiko is a boy!?

I've seen people calling her a boy, but in the anime she's a girl. Is she a boy in the manga or am I missing something?

Actually,Nagihiko is the guy, while Nadeshiko is his female counterpart or "alter ego" if you will, and there's a reason for that actually in his family the guys must learn to crossdress as girls in order to learn how to dance.I hope cleared things up.in some way..

Oh, ok so he's a crossdresser. Only on episode 4 so I've only seen him as a girl. So what do I call him then, Nadeshiko or Nagihiko?

^ as said below he's revealed as Nagihiko in episode 25,I suppose you can call him whatever you feel comfortable with.

He really is a boy....instead of Nadeshiko his real name is Nagihiko Fujisaki. In Episode 25 of the anime, Nadeshiko is revealed to be a boy named Nagihiko. It is a tradition in the Fujisaki family for the males to be raised as females as part of their training so that they may play female roles in Japanese dances.

Nagihiko cross-dressed as Nadeshiko so that he could learn the art of Japanese Dancing. When he moved over-broad, he went and learnt different dancing moves from different countries. Soon after that, he returned staying in his boy form, but we do see Nadeshiko occasionally. Or you could just do what Amu did, Nadeshiko and Nagihiko are twins. :D

Nadeshiko IS a boy
just found out myself!
apparently.. in the fujisaki household, all males are supposed to be accustomed to "becoming female" since traditional japanese dance is so important in their family... so yea, nadeshiko is a boy, but has to be like a girl! :P
(and i got this information from the anime, i have no idea what it says in the manga about this)
