The Canadian actor\'s Mekong River drama beat out his father Donald and half-brother Kiefer and their Western \'Forsaken\' in the fest\'s main Borsos competition.
The Rossif Sutherland-starrer River, the first North American film shot in Laos, won the top jury prize on Sunday at this year's Whistler Film Festival in British Columbia.
Director Jamie M. Dagg's first-timer about an American voluntary doctor in Laos won the Borsos Competition for best Canadian feature film.
