yes, she could've been in Ravenclaw, but she is brave enough to be in Gryffindor. The Sorting Hat takes into consideration what you think, and she probably wanted to be in Gryffindor, so that's why she is in Gryffindor.
Ravenclaws are more innovative, I think. They push boundaries. They’re eccentrics. Hermione isn’t like that. She is extremely clever, this is true, but she accepts what’s in a book as the absolute truth. You may remember Harry reading the Half Blood Prince’s instructions in his potion book and trying to explain what he was doing to Hermione, who only said something along the lines of, “That’s not what the books says.” I just don’t see her being an innovator, or inventor. She understands what is already there, not how to create something new.
Tbh, it's more about what traits you value, not just the traits you have. Hermione is very intelligent, but she valued courage, bravery and friendship more (she basically said so in the 1st film) so, she was sorted into Gryffindor.
