#1: JASON BRODY:
Starting off as your average immature dare devil. But then Vaas kidnapped him and his brother Grant.. And during their escape Vaas coldly murders poor Grant and Jason is unable to save the poor guy. This being being one of them main reasons Jason tracks down and kills Vaas, though not too many sympathize the death of Vaas, despite how badass he is.
Not only that but Jason becomes a unstoppable force do to the harsh ways of the island destroying both his innocence, and even his sanity.
But Jason uses this, not for bad, but for the sole purpose of rescuing his friends and family from the terrible people of the terrible island..

#2: KELLER DOVER:
Keller Dover is the main protagonist of the 2013 thriller film ''Prisoners''. Despite being the main protagonist of the story, he has committed several villainous acts throughout the film, the most obvious example was torturing Alex Jones, a mentally challenged man, but this isn't because he a bad person, but because, in his eyes, this was necessary to find his abducted daughter Anna. As he believes Alex knows where she is..
Turns out Alex WAS involved, but Alex wasn't the one who hurt the little girls as Keller thought he was. It was the old lady who, a after Keller discovered her true colors, she possibly murdered Keller while mocking him about what her plans for Anna are..

#3: NIKO BELLIC:
Despite all his bad things he isn't, at heart, a bad person.
He truely cares for his friends and family and would do anything for them..

#4: JOHN MARSTON:
(Same as Niko Bellic's description)..

#5: RICK GRIMES:
Relying on his former police skills and survival tactics, Rick has become a battle-hardened survivor who will protect his family without question: In many ways, Rick has become like Shane, ready to kill without a moment's hesitation and not trusting anyone except for his group, and knowing that in the world that it is now, there are very few good people left and if you don't fight for your survival, then you will eventually die. In addition to his acting like Shane, Rick also obtains a few similarities to other primary antagonists that he has encountered and killed (or whom other members of his group have killed) in the past, particularly the Governor, Joe, and Gareth. However, unlike Shane, the Governor, Joe, and Gareth, Rick retains some of his humanity and honor for the sake of his family and friends, and looks to his friends for guidance in making sure that he doesn't completely lose his sanity, a direct contrast to these other antagonists who have almost completely sacrificed their humanity in favor of personal survival by any means necessary, unchallenged power and control over other survivors and giving into their worst inclinations for their own benefit.

Obviously there's way more where this came from, but this was all I thought of so far..
