that's right. but when we see a snake, our mind wont think that only if we harm a snake, it'll harm us. it just tells us to run away and to stay away. that time facts are buried inside our fears
because we see, hear informations regarding snake attacks eg:after seeing anaconda movie, if you see a snake do facts come first?

i guess i agree with you but i've always loved snakes and jumped at the chance to hold them and touch them :)
i guess it's just one of our old stone-age fears that stuck with us, like the fear of sharks and spiders, even though we're probably more likely to die from a potato salad than a shark bite :P
yes,it differs. in my home when my mom sees any snake she will be scared like something. we will convince her but she is not convinced till date. all have different experiences

We always hear things about snakes, about how they have venom, and that some can kill you. Naturally, we become scared when we see them because of the facts we have stuck in our minds. Not to mention some of them are pretty weird looking.
In my mind though, snakes are pretty awesome.

yeah, i think snakes are the best! :) i probably should be more afraid of them though...
I am absolutely in love with them. When I see a snake I end up squealing and running towards them which results with them slithering away from me. I really need to work on my excitement whenever I see certain animals.
I'm not afraid of snakes, I just don't like the snakes with venom. I had a Garter snake years ago when I was 12. it got out of the cardboard box and freaked out my sister so I had to let it go.
