Yes because not everyojes struggles are the same, and it affects us all differently, and we all deal with it differently. So you really can't compare them in my opinion cause he mental strain and emotional trama is impossible to measure. Cause even if two people have he same exact problem they're not the same exact person so it affects them differently.
And just cause you say your life is harder doesn't mean my suffering doean't count.

And now I will step off my soap box. But I believe every word of that.

Depends. If I know for a fact they have a hard life, I don't mind if they complain once in a while. But if they bitch about it all the time I'd get pissy.

No...
I mean, it does, but every time I try to talk about my hardships with my friends they have to jump in and say how their life is worse and about all of their problems, and I never get to express my pain to anyone really (because nearly all of them do that.) so I'm really just used to it.
Besides, my life isn't that awful anyway. I'm not starving and I have a roof over my head, all of my limbs, and I can move every part of my being. Sure, I have my hardships and my pain, but that's how we learn. I don't want to live a life without pain otherwise there would be no meaning.
So... I don't mind it really.

Yes. I don't whine about how hard my life is, and I expect people to do the same. I'm not an agony aunt.

Annoying? It's above that. Yep , I do because nobody truly knows my life , just like I don't know others's. Nobody has any rights to judge anyone's life until they're walking in their shoes with their own feet.^ I try my best not to ever say that my life's harder than anyone else's or judge it.

Yeah, it does. I actually have a stepbrother who's had a pretty rough childhood. His parents fighting in front of him, his dad never letting him go out with his friends... Hell, he's almost 20 now, and his dad still tells him to be back at 10:30 PM on fridays. When his childhood comes in discussion, he acts miserable as if he's the only one in the world who's had a shit life.

My older brother and mother commited suicide. Sadly, he doesn't care much. I'm not saying his life isn't so bad, compared to the stuff me, my little sisters and dad have been through... Just that there are more people with problems, and he should keep that in mind before he basically tells us that had it a little rough in his childhood.

I usually respond something like:
"Yeah, cool story bro. Now leave me alone while I deal with planning my date with my girlfriend."
