What is the saddest songs you have heard?!

Switchfoot - Yesterdays.

It's such a beautifully written songs about death.

But it's not just about about death, it's about how after you die, your free.

and this man who is in so much pain, yet still moves on because he know she can live through him, and one of the lines "until I'm with you again, I'll carry on" so he's saying even though she's gone, there is still reason to live.

Also~

another verse "I woke from a dream last night, I dreamt you were by my side, reminding me you still had life in me" it's so hauntingly beautiful. She may be gone, but she can live on through him as I said before.

This is honestly one of my favourite songs, it's very sad, but so beautiful.

It reminds us that death isn't the end, it's a new beginning and even though someone is gone, they are still there, inside of you, a little parts of them show through you everyday.


Sorry about my rant thingy, I've just always wanted to express my feelings on this song :)

I've heard a lot of sad songs in my time but i'd have to say he newest one I've heard....called Love Will Lift Us Up Where We Belong. Beautiful song about love <3
