I'm not sure, maybe listening to your favourite band makes you feel safe?
When I feel scared or uncomfortable, i put on my headphones, listen music and forget about everything that scares me.

because you just watched paranormal activity 1/2/3 and you are scared shitless soo that helps you sleep:) thats why I do it *hates scary movies*
