Yeah. Ring around the roses was the one to first come to mind when I saw this question. I would describe what it's actually about and stuff but it was already stated in a couple of the other answers, so...

Yes.

When I have a kid, it's just gonna have to listen to the lullaby versions of Paramore.
And then when it gets a little older, just Paramore.
And then when it gets to be 13, I will let the kid choose its own music.

For example, in my mother language there's this song that talks about how you threw a stick at a cat, but you couldn't kill him.

I don't know the origins of Rockaby Baby & It's Raining, It's Pouring, though.

Although, I think that in 'It's Raining, it's Pouring', an old man was sleeping in the rain. He went to bed, then hit his head pretty hard, and died.

Yeah. When I was little, instead of "And down will come baby, cradle and all," I used to say "Then daddy catch baby and all." I was such an optimist child.

I always knew about "It's Raining", that's why I never sung it.

And "Ring Around the Rosie" isn't actually about the plague, it has no meaning.

However I used to sing the one about Lizzie Bordon, which is worse than either of the others. " Lizzie Borden took an axe, and gave her mother forty whacks. And when she saw what she had done, she gave her father forty one."

Such dark nursery rhymes. T___T I also heard that Little Red Riding Hood's original was very brutal & gory.
