Real or fake?

The picture seems like its dangerous but aligators will only snap if nessecary.
this has happened before while i was watching a show called When Good Pets Go Bad 2 on the spike channel, a man had put his head inside an aligators mouth(just like in the picture)as a stunt, and it bit down on his head, but he survived.
so im sure this person is still alive as well.
