life has won over death
you arrive
a joyuss look in your eyes
you were laughing
you were smiling
you were crawling
when you took your first steps
you were mesmirized
you were running
you were jumping
you were making mud pies
clinging onto me
soon you were older
to old for grownups
you played with your friends
you played sports
but you still called me mommy
you were chasing after girls
you were failing your classes
you were making a mess of your world
soon you betrayed me
you lied and you cheated
you stole from me
you disapeared for days
you dropped out of school
you swore at me
you snuck into...

A DREAM WITHIN A DREAM

Take this kiss upon the brow !
And, in parting from you now,
Thus much let me avow
You are not wrong, who deem
That my days have been a dream,
Yet if hope has flown away
In a night, or in a day,
In a vision, or in none,
Is it therefore the less gone ?
All that we see or seem
Is but a dream within a dream.

I stand amid the roar
Of a surf-tormented shore,
And I hold within my hand
Grains of the golden sand
How few ! yet how they creep
Through my fingers to the deep,
While I weep while I weep!
O God ! can I not grasp
Them with a tighter clasp ?
O God ! can I not save
One from the pitiless wave ?
Is all that we see or seem
But a dream within a dream ?

I was listening to bird of death from nisemonogatari (found it in an OST compilation, haven’t seen the anime) and I suddenly did a thing

why did I write this I’m not even sad

Dead white skin litters my arms like snowflakes,
And beautiful red blood falls in sad drips,
Making a picture on the colorless ground
Breathing doesn’t feel so good, it just burns
If I go, I’ll be okay
So I let myself go, freezing
My wrists are numb, but I can feel the blood
Dripping, dripping
The tall leafless tree is dying, too
How does it feel, to have death looming
Because I’m so happy, living felt wrong
I could’ve...

One of my favorite poems of all time & perhaps someone would like to add more Byron or make commentaries...

She Walks in Beauty 1814

"She walks in beauty, like the night
Of cloudless climes and starry skies;
And all that's best of dark and bright
Meet in her aspect and her eyes:
Thus mellow'd to that tender light
Which heaven to gaudy day denies.

One shade the more, one ray the less,
Had half impaired the nameless grace
Which waves in every raven tress,
Or softly lightens o'er her face;
Where thoughts serenely sweet express
How pure, how dear their dwelling-place.

And on that cheek, and o'er that brow,
So soft, so calm, yet eloquent,
The smiles that win, the tints that glow,
But tell of days in goodness spent,
A mind at peace with all below,
A heart whose love is innocent!
"
Tapers

Two tapers in a dark room can only be seen
By the watcher
He stares in adoration
Of her
Of complete pride
His young thing
The angels themselves covet
The soft glow kisses her flawless skin
They dance on her features so strikingly
They love her
She knows they do
Only this sweet thing could have fallen
From god's hands himself
Complete sweetness drips
From the very tips of her fingers
As he tastes them one by one
Enticed
Enthralled
Entranced
Full of life and promise
Her very being delighted in his presence
The earth itself would bow down
If it could
Both waiting for more
A future
Plans take way in blissfulness...

Annabel Lee

It was many and many a year ago,
In a kingdom by the sea,
That a maiden there lived whom you may know
By the name of ANNABEL LEE;
And this maiden she lived with no other thought
Than to love and be loved by me.

I was a child and she was a child,
In this kingdom by the sea;
But we loved with a love that was more than love-
I and my Annabel Lee;
With a love that the winged seraphs of heaven
Coveted her and me.

And this was the reason that, long ago,
In this kingdom by the sea,
A wind blew out of a cloud, chilling
My beautiful Annabel Lee;
So that her highborn kinsman came
And bore...
