R’n’R Fantasy Camp Celebrates 20 with Paul Stanley, Don Felder & Judas Priest
The famed Rock’n’Roll Fantasy Camp will be celebrating its 20th anniversary with a suitably all-star line-up, offering fans a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to jam with rock legends Paul Stanley (Kiss), Don Felder (The Eagles), Rudy Sarzo (Quiet Riot, Whitesnake), Vinny Appice (Dio, Black Sabbath) and members of Judas Priest. This year’s camp with Stanley and Felder takes place June 23rd through 26th in Hollywood followed by the Judas Priest camp August 4th to 7th.
CEOs, lawyers, experts and novices alike are welcome to pursue their passion at these summer camps. They’ll form bands led by rock star counselors and work on everything from stage presence to songwriting, culminating in a live performance at the legendary Whisky A Go Go on the Sunset Strip in Hollywood. Participants will get to enjoy lunches, Q&As and behind-the-scenes stories with the stars as well as a video download of the final show. Alongside the headlining acts are numerous touring rock star bass players, guitar players, keyboard players and more.
Paul Stanley is of course the chief songwriter, frontman and familiar voice of Kiss, and Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Don Felder is best known as the co-writer of the smash hit “Hotel California” and the guitarist who played with The Eagles from 1974 to 1980 and the reunited band from 1994 to 2001. Felder will be performing at the SugarHouse Casino Event Center for “An Evening at the Hotel California” on Sunday, May 29th at 8 p.m. The four-time Grammy winner released his latest album,
One of the greatest metal bands of all time, Judas Priest have sold over 45 million albums since the early 1970s, revolutionizing the genre with everything from their leather and spike stage ensembles to dueling guitars and Rob Halford’s famously operatic vocal stylings. They’ll be celebrating their 17th and most recent studio record
with a live album featuring highlights from their appearance at Germany’s Wacken Festival on August 1, 2015, where they played to a crowd of 85,000. [http://bestclassicbands.com/judas-priest-live-album-3-6-16/]
