One Direction Fan Tragically Killed By Train While Listening To Their Music

Such a devastating tragedy! A young girl was walking home from school listening to One Direction loudly in her earphones when a train she didn’t see coming struck and killed her.

Fifteen-year-old One Direction fan Jana Djuric from Serbia lost her life suddenly during what started out as just a normal walk home with a friend. We have all the sad details on what happened after the pair decided to take a shortcut home.

Jana was walking home from school with her friend Valerija Kolar in Valievo when the accident happened. They decided to take a shortcut over a railway line they thought wasn’t currently running.

, and she ran ahead of me onto the tracks. The line had been closed down 10 months earlier and we had no idea it was running again,” her friend told the

“Jana was dancing and singing and then suddenly the train appeared and hit her. And then she was gone,” she recounted.

A police spokesperson said, “Both the girl’s friend and the train driver were badly in shock. The girl’s parents have been informed of the tragedy.”

A silent vigil at school was held by Jana’s classmates and teachers after the tragedy. The spokesperson only had the kindest words about the teen, “Jana was a lovely girl who was always smiling and friendly. She loved sport and music. This is a tragic day for everyone here and our thoughts will always be with her.”

Wow, what a sad story of a teen gone way too soon. Our hearts are filled with sadness for Jana and everybody suffering as a result of this tragedy.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Jana’s friends and family during this difficult time.

Seems very odd to me that One Direction gets linked to this. Its never a good idea to be on railroad tracks even if you think it isn’t in use. I’m sorry for the loss of life but trains can’t stop quickly.

That railway wasn’t working for sooo many yrs( typical for Serbia) and it started to work 3-4 days before Jana died…fyi HollywoodLife you wrong spelled the name of the city,it’s Valjevo

Young people stay off the tracks, it’s much safer that way.

The same thing just happened to a 14 year old boy in my area.

He was trying to get home quickly by taking a short cut along the tracks so he could have more time to ride his bike.

The weather was nice for a change after a brutal winter.

He had his hood up on his jacket and his headphones on. The engineer blew the horn but he never looked back. The brakes were applied but the train couldn’t stop in time.

I taught my kids to be aware of their surroundings and never cove rboth ears with headphones. always leave one side off.
