The Tournament of Roses parade, if anybody doesn't know, is the New Year celebration in the United States. It began in 1890 and has been held consecutively since then every year. It is held in Pasadena, California. It is a beautiful parade. It welcomes the new year. It is held all over the world on TV. It has not been stopped, even through the two world wars. It is held almost always on January 1, and the only exception is a year that begins on a Sunday. In the case of a year beginning on a Sunday, the parade is held on Monday, January 2. I love the new year! It's my favorite holiday! I enjoy New Year's Eve and New Year's Day! I was born in Mexico and grew up in the United States. My first New Year's is for ringing in 2000, in terms of the New Year's that I remember. I was seven years old, I stood up until midnight and it was huge. Even though the 3rd millennium and 21st century began on the first day of 2001. I enjoy just about everything about the new year.
