Come again?
Season 3 finale: Gibbs-centric
Season 4 finale: Tony-centric
Season 5 finale: Gibbs-centric
Season 6 finale: Ziva-centric, yes!
Season 3 premiere introduced Ziva, season 4 premiere was Ziva centric. . .maybe that's what they are thinking of.
"He earlier told his father Jackson to go someplace safe - but Gibbs' father is if nothing else even more stubborn than Gibbs - and in a final scene we see Paloma walk into Jackson's store ..."
To be fair, how much time had elapsed since the initial conversation? AND He never said to leave town, just to go stay with someone. Jackson's a small town guy, most of the people he knows are probably in Stillwater.
I don't disagree with your comments on Gibbs and how Shannon and Kelly's death and the events that intiated have affected the rest of his life, and other than the part about the finales being Ziva-centric, I agree about the usually superior season finales. And, while my concern this year is not nearly what it has been in the past, I am worried for Jackson. Gibbs can't handle losing someone else...
As for Ziva, maybe I did overstate that a bit. But I said "her family," so anything with Ari has to count.
