depends which fanfic like Cupcakes and Rainbow Factory i liked but sweet apple masacre was just horrible

I like dark fics, sure. Fallout Equestria is probably my favorite fanfiction ever. There is a limit I'm willing to go when it comes to dark fics, though. Full-on gore in extremely graphic detail is a bit much for my standards.

EDIT: Now that I think of it, i can take gore just fine, but sometimes I do set limits.

It also depends on how well-written the fanfiction is. I like fanfics like Cupcakes because most of them are well-written. I read part of "Sweet Apple Massacre," and I could barely get through the first page. I just thought it was terribly written. That's what makes the difference to me.

I'm not a fan of Grimdark horror stuff. Especially with ponies. The extent of violence in movies I like are shows like Watchmen or Priest. I like violence if it's in an action movie where the're actually fighting for a cause and the good guys win, but I don't see what's so entertaining about watching a bunch of people die in cruelly creative ways.

I agree with clancker on this one. Sweet Apple Massacre, Experiments of Twilight Sparkle, (some parts of) Cheerilee's Garden: No. Rainbow factory, Cupcakes and Rocket to Insanity (the second ending) yea. Their good reads and I like the creativity in them. It shows how dark a mind can get. And it's okay if you don't like them. I'm not gonna try to force anyone. ^^

Yes. Cupcakes was my first ever. Latest one ive read is Pages of Harmony. Sweet Apple Massacre was undeniably stupid. Ive already been planning my own grimdark fic. Ill write it in my FiM Fiction account

Uh... making them is much easier than reading them. I'm actually working on one called Story of the Everfree. it's inspired by Amnesia: the Dark Decent. same monster... kinda.

I like most of the grimdark MLP fanfics such as Cupcakes, Rainbow Factory, Rocket to Insanity, Cheerilee's Garden, and Pages of Harmony The only one I didn't really like at all was Sweet Apple Massacre, it was just too disturbing. Now I'm wondering if I should read Trixie's Funhouse. I've heard it's as disturbing as Sweet Apple Massacre, so I've had doubts about reading it.

No I don't like Gimdark cause I've read meny like sweet apple massacre,cupcakes,raritys dress,and rainbow factory and all in which I regret reading cause they are disgusting who like like these anyway? why in the world would they make it?
