Why do so many people hate Pinky Pie?

NO ONE LIKES PINKIE PIE?!?!!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!?

From what I've seen, she's one of the more popular ones of the mane six (along with Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy).

However, I've seen Dash get a bit of hating just more recently, just for apparently being "overrated". That's actually quite a shallow thing to do - they are disliking her because other people like her! It seems like they aren't really thinking about why people love her, and more to the point don't actually dislike anything about her as such. They're bored of her fans and are taking it out on the character!

I've not seen any real hatred towards Pinkie yet, but I do hope that if anyone does dislike her then they have an honest reason of their own rather than "someone likes her so I'll make sure I don't".

I just thought I'd mention what I've heard about Rainbow Dash, because for all I know that might be the case with Pinkie Pie too. Maybe she's being hated by someone because she's being loved by someone else?

For the most part though, it does seem that a lot of people really like her (myself included!) so I don't think you have anything to worry about! :D

When I first started being Brony and everything, all she ever did was annoy me, because of her high voice and all that..

But then she started getting cuter the more I watched it. So, I was once a hater myself, but not anymore.. She's my favorite character now (next to Spike and Dash)

They are just mad bcause she can get away with being random and insane

I definitely don't hate Miss Pinkamena Diane Pie! She is my second favorite of the mane 6. And in my opinion Pinkie Pie is more liked than Rarity, Twilight, and Applejack. I love Rarity though and I wish more people did too Dx But Pinkie is not the most hated by far

To be perfectly honest, when I first started watching the show, I couldn't stand her. She got on my last nerve with her sickeningly cheerful attitude and her pointless out of no where songs, particularly her song "You gotta share/care."

But after a while she grew on me, and now I love her randomness.

I TrollBerry, the neutral representative of this argument will tell you why. I personally like pinkiepie and she is my probably first favorite. But that must be shoved aside for now. Most people hate or really really really dislike her because I quote "she's a party freak and a loud mouth..." truth is, she may be, and you may be a Brony. So what, "normal society" either dislikes us or doesn't know about us. We are proud to be Bronies and I don't care if anyone hates pinkie pie because she is one of us and as well as the other ponies and bronies, we are all different and should be proud of that!

I barely see anyone who hates Pinkie Pie. She may be annoying at first but she kinda grows on you.

I've heard of that. People disliked her because of how hyper, crazy, and annoying she was. I love love looooove Pinkie, though! She's third place on my top 3 ponies. If anypony, I wish people would stop hating Rarity so much! She can be picky and selfish at times, but she apologizes in the end. *sigh* D:

Hate is such a strong word dislike would be a better word. I just find Pinkie Pie a tad bit annoying.

I used to dislike Pinkie Pie because I found her irritating. However, as I watched more of the series, she grew on me. I wouldn't be worried about people disliking you.

Pinkie Pie has a big personality. The first episode I'll admit I thought she was gonna be an annoyinly ditzy pony that never shut up, but after A. eating a cupcake with hotsauce (for some reason that made her ten times more interesting to me)and B. singing that giggle at the ghosties song, she grew a bit on me. After a few more episodes I was more accustomed to her crazy ways, and, seeing as she is now my favorite pony. However, in real life I am somewhat like her- I tend to talk a lot, I'm a bit ADD, and loooove sweets. So, someone who is the opposite of that may not be a big Pinkie fan-it just grates against their personality. However, I don't think any true fan totally HATES pinkie pie, maybe they are not huge fans of her, so I think you are fine. :) I get Pinkie Pie on my quizzes too, btw. *brohoof*

I don't see any possible reason to hate pinkie pie she is just the all around best pony because she's adorable, playful, energetic, random, and to top it all off she always bakes tasty treats. To me she is the complete package.

Hate her? No. I mean, if I'm being entirely honest, she is probably my least favorite out of the mane six, but that's only my personal thinking, I don't particularly "like" her though either, here's why: I think that she is too involved in other ponies private affairs, she insists on being the centre of attention, maybe not deliberately, but subconsciously. Now you could argue that its just part of her energetic random behavior, and to an extent I would agree, but then you have cases like Rainbow dash and Gilda, the two were hanging out together, they hadn't seen each other in a long time and were catching up, then Pinkie comes along and feels the need to squeeze herself in between the two long friends to be a part of the fun. Now let me make this clear, I'm not backing Gilda here, I'm just looking at the whole situation from a different perspective. So Gilda and Rd are having a blast together, making up the time they lost when they went their separate ways, and Pinkie barges in demanding to be a part of the fun even when told no. I know it was done in a rather violent way, but Gilda clearly stated "No" To Pinkie when she tried to join in the two's activities, and yet she comes back anyway. -.- Look, it may seem like I hate her with all my being, but I don't I really, really don't. I just dissaprove of her actions and personality is all. I know my opinion is less popular and shunned upon, I mean god forbid I have an opinion that challenges the bulk of the fan base right? That's basically a crime! Fuck it, I may as well walk down to the local police station and admit my crimes so I can be locked up in a cell for 10 years or so... That is what some fans would have you believe.... Look all I'm trying to convey is that I have legitimate reasons for not liking the pink mare, she is still is pretty funny at times, but still, I don't like her all that much. Again, THIS IS MY OPINION, I have nothing against those of you who adore this mare, Im stating my feelings, if you feel differently, good for you, I am not trying to change your minds or convert your ways. I respect everyone's opinions and beliefs equally.

As a profesional Pinkie pie hater, I can come up with some reasons.
1: Her randomness dosen't fit in in the show. Since everybody (Not everypony, because many are alicorns,pegsus or whatever they are called) else seem pretty realistic, shes just being random in an unfitting way.
2: Many of her jokes, you can see from a mile away, and those you can't aren't even funny. Seriously. Her sense of homour may get your 1 year old to laugh, but putting her as your favourite character from a show?
3: That ''cupcakes'' adapted pinkie pie very well. Resulting in her being ANNOYING in that creepypasta... With puns, dumb critisisme and all that other stuff.
Im sure that some develoupement made her better, but she just makes the show unwatchable for me!

Pinky Pie is my least favorite of the mane six but I certainly don't hate her. I like her randomness and how happy she always is. It's not that I don't like her.... it's that I like the other ponies more.... if that makes sense? Just my opinion though.

Honestly, Pinkie was annoying during the first season, but then I thought her as more as funny than annoying. People don't like her probably because she can get on your nerves a lot. Also, her songs get stuck in your head when you first hear them, but most of the time I learn to enjoy them and enjoy Pinkie's personality!

I think it's because of the episode Party Of One and random things people make up, like (shudders) Cupcakes. Don't you make me bring that up again, world! Gosh the world hates me, sometimes. But, also I will give you a list of which of the Mane Six are liked more from things I see. Mostly through the the eyes of bronies. Also in the though of with could relate to the watchers more.

I haven't watched any really new episodes, if you don't count that I watched Season 5 Finale, so these probably have changed. The reason I haven't watched any new episodes is cause Gravity Falls was getting interesting with the portal and the rift and the author and Bill and Dipper and what not.
