"Jake?" Rebecca asked.
"What's wrong?" Rachel asked as she moved closer.
"Give him time girls." My father said, his usually happy expression gone. "Why don't you two fix something to eat, we've had a long day."
For the first time in my memory Rachel didn't argue, they both walked into the kitchen and quickly began making something. My father looked at me, then nodded out the back towards the car that I had all but forgotten. I nodded as I stood up, throwing on my jacket before I grabbed the handles on his chair and pushed him back outside....
