In the book he was described as a "young elf clad all in green and brown" (or maybe vice-versa) Anywho, they made a point early in the book to say that all elves were attractive, so...LEGOLAS IS HANDSOME!! I actually like the Movie better than the book but I saw it before I read it. They couldn't have picked a better actor to play Legolas....He is my FAVORITE CHARACTER!!!!! GO LEGOLAS!! In the book he was supposed to be a messenger while his "Ada" was king. They never made him seem too princely...they mentioned it but never dwelled on the fact.
