​Liam Payne has revealed the actually quite hilarious news that the members of One Direction don\'t have each others phone numbers because they\'re always within talking distance of each other anyway.

Explaining that there\'s no reason to communicate via emojis and memes when they could just poke each other and actually speak their thoughts out loud, Payno told People Magazine: "​I actually don\'t have any of my bandmates\' numbers, which I think is hilarious​. I see them every day, so I don\'t really need to text them." ​

Although we\'re a little bit sad that the boys don\'t have a group chat where they discuss outfit choices, album lyrics, secret locations to rendezvous, and the quickest way to make fans shed more tears than a monsoon downpour, we can definitely see the logic behind them saving on phone data and communicating via speech instead.

But with the hiatus coming up next year, Liam\'s admitted it\'s going to be a lot harder to elbow each other in the ribs when they want to delve into some deep AM conversations, so he\'s announced that they\'ll all have to get each others phone numbers: "​I\'ll have to get [their numbers], which is quite funny
