In the new video for her single “High By the Beach,” Lana Del Rey is back to her old tricks—melancholic singing and dreamy beachside swooning. The video from her highly anticipated album,
which is expected to come out next month, shows a caftan-clad Lana lounging around in a near-empty Malibu beach house (that seems likely her own) while a chopper stalks her overhead. Unwilling to let a paparazzo stand in the way of her aspirations (getting high by the beach), Del Rey casually pulls out a bazooka and shoots them down. Take a look below.
