When people search for female rolemodels there usally Amelia Earheart or the chick who made that radioactive stuff. My point is that there always people like scientists or movie stars or people that did good deeds around the world, when my counsler asked me who was my role model I said "Joan Jett" my counsler had a look on her face and said "Why?" and I said "She provided a world with awesome music and she proved the women/girls can rock as much as guys can."

Joan Jett is my idol/role model she is the person I want to be, I know thats impossiable but it can probably happen.

When girls have role models the are cool or people I like, it's very rare but when they do I jump at them and ask them questions and most of the easy ones they don't get right.

Joan Jett is my bitch and role model and she will always be. <3 <3 <3

Joan Jett,born Joan Marie Larkin on September 22, 1958, is an American rock guitarist, singer, producer, actress, and former member of The Runaways who performs with her band Joan Jett and the Blackhearts.

The majority of her music is recorded with her band Joan Jett and the Blackhearts. Only two albums, “Bad Reputation” and “The Hit List” were released as solo material.

By playing pure and simple rock & roll without making an explicit issue of her gender, Joan Jett became a figurehead for several generations of female rockers.

The Day I First Saw Joan Jett

I was 6 playing with my Barbie dreamhouse(yes that was my favorite toy)in my basement while my dad was flipping channels on the TV. He stopped on VH1 which was a channel I didn't even know about at the time and what was on was "100 Greatest Rock Songs Off All Time" or something and the next song was 'I Love Rock and Roll' by Joan Jett and the Blackhearts. And to my suprise I liked it I was danceing and jumping around like an idiot, when the song ended to my dad's suprise I was crying. The next day I woke up to 'I Love Rock And Roll' it turns out the show was on a second time so my dad taped...
