[Breaking] SM Entertainment releases official statement regarding Jessica and Girls\' Generation

After hours of silence, SM Entertainment has finally sent out their official position or statement regarding the whole situation with Jessica and Girls\' Generation, revealing that Girls\' Generation will be active as 8 members as Jessica has chosen to halt her team activities.

We are offering our position on the words posted on Jessica\'s Weibo today.

This coming spring, due to her personal situation, she notified us she will halt her team promotions with the release of one [more] album.

Despite Jessica\'s sudden notice, the agency and the Girls\' Generation members tried our best and tried to figure out a way that Girls\' Generation\'s activities can continue in the best possible direction.

However, in the midst of insufficient negotiations regarding conflicts of differences in priorities and interest, Jessica started her fashion business. Due to this, despite ongoing talks, it has come to a point where the team could not be maintained.

Thus, the agency had no choice but to pull up Girls\' Generation\'s activities as 8 members earlier than planned, and in the midst of while working out when to announce this, Jessica had posted her words early this morning.

From here on, our agency will continue to support and manage the 8-member Girls\' Generation and Jessica\'s individual activities."

So with this statement, it doesn\'t seem that Jessica is leaving the agency, but that she will not be active with the other 8 members in the future as she carries out her own activities. Whatever the case may be, we wish both Jessica and the other 8 members the best.

this kinda worries me. Kibum from super junior did the same thing. He didnt leave the agency he just halted activities for his individual work and it has been years since he has been in a super junior activity

SM should feel fucked up after dropping out the member from the group that made your own company name grown .Im not being bias ,honestly im not included as sone but as a person who grown up listening to Kpop ,I realize that SNSD is a biggest name in the Kpop world .What I mean here is ,why the Jessica was dropped out from her own group just because she is interested in doing a fashion label name  .Well ,tell you what .Is it logic if someone that has gave an effort to one thing for many years and made a big success being dropped out just because they want to start her own label .

Honestly ,this \'idol world\' is not stay forever on a celebrities.Day by day,time to time ,a new faces will shown up .So its relevan if an idol try out to expand their own business before being dropped out by S(omewhere) M(anipulated) Entertainment

tbh i was quite upset by jessica since she seemed like she chose blanc/tyler kwon over snsd when i first read this thing and i believe this what what the members felt when they knew about this, betrayed and upset. the 7year or even more friendship or even sisterhood snsd have is not that shallow by how the members wore blanc and prove that they supported her. im not saying that sm is the bad person here as we know that everyone knows or think that sm is bad here, it is impossible for sm to let snsd look bad since they are still under sm. jessica obviously chose blanc over snsd, it is a fact that she wanted to halt the activities for blanc, jessica is not completely the victim here, she might do something wrong by not letting sm know about her fashion career clearly, but she didnt want to leave the group. this is no longer a matter on the slave contract or whatever, but we all know that sm is going to be like \'jessica is unwell and blah blah\' if jessica hadnt say her words. she wants to be a designer and she is just trying to achieve it, most probably when she set up blanc she was thinking that she could do play 2roles at the same time and thats what all of us think too, nevertheless this news had caught us shock. jessica is at fault, sm is at fault, even the other members is at fault for letting it happen. snsd is so precious these 7years had been great and all sones will believe that the 8members will do as good and jessica will do well too. okay thats it im making alot of assumptions, just a piece of many things i have in mind

At the end of the day SNSD will part ways we didn\'t just expect it to be this early and this way. No matter what happen SNSD will be SNSD as I knew them. 2009 was the best kpop year for me because that was the time I knew 2ne1, SNSD and Super Junior. I remember fighting with SONEs way back then. Haha. Now, I am not sure if will still be supporting them because my first bias is never ever coming back.

Can I just say, and correct, the other members also have solo activities but I think the reason that this became such huge news is because that she wants to have her own fashion line, attend school and maybe get married..basically live her own life. And I don\'t blame her for it. So maybe that\'s why SM is concerned that she doesn\'t have time for activities as a member of GG. But now she\'s being forced out of the group because of it? My favorite groups under the worst and now most hated company. I\'m sorry but I actually thought SM would be a good company, but after what happened to Kris and now Jessica, I can\'t tell how disappointed I am of them. But whatever happens to her I support her and GG.

As Kamilias we know how hard it is to endure changes within a group; at the end of it all we will never know where the truth lies. All you can do is to continue being a fan and support all of the members just as you have always done.

But what sm said and what Jessica wrote don\'t match up, she said she was forced while sm said it was her choice?? I don\'t think I\'m gonna believe anything until Jessica releases a statement of her own

"her choice" means that jessica didn\'t do what sm wanted. jessi wanted to promote her brand while being a member of gg, sm wanted her to choose one, but since she can\'t, they made the choice for her :(
