"All in one moment one woman blotted it out for ever."
"Who?" said Digory in a faint voice; but he had already guessed the answer.
"I," said the Queen. "I. Jadis the last Queen, but the Queen of the World."

"Stay where you are," cried Digory, turning round to face her, "or we'll all vanish. Don't come an inch nearer."
"Foolish boy," said the Witch. "Why do you run from me? I mean you no harm. If you do not stop and listen to me now. you will miss some knowledge that would have made you happy all your life."
Jadis telling Digory what the apple is and trying to get him to take her back to London. She would have harmed him if she got close enough but had to tempt him instead. Posted over a year ago

So there was silence in the room for a minute or two. But you could tell by the way Jadis tapped her foot on the floor that she was growing impatient. Presently she said, as if to herself. "What is the old fool doing? I should have brought a whip." She stalked out of the room in pursuit of Uncle Andrew without one glance at the children.
Jadis thinks Andrew has been gone too long and sets out after him She has no patients at all. Posted over a year ago

"Stop," said the Witch, just as he reached the door.
"Do not dream of treachery. My eyes can see through walls and into the minds of men. They will be on you wherever you go. At the first sign of disobedience I will lay such spells on you that anything you sit down on will feel like red hot iron and whenever you lie in a bed there will be invisable blocks of ice at your feet. Now go."

"Peace ! You talk far too much.Listen to your first task. I see we are in a large city. Procure for me at once a chariot or a flying carpet or a well-trained dragon,or whatever is usual for royal and noble persons in your land. Then bring me to places where I can get clothes and jewels and slaves fit for my rank. Tomorrow I will begin the conquest of the World."

"Peace," said the Witch. "I see what you are. You are a little, peddling Magician who works by rules and books. There is no real Magic in your blood and heart. Your kind was made an end of in my world a thousand years ago. But here I shall allow you to be my servant."
Jadis telling Andrew what she thought of him and his Magic. Posted over a year ago

Then Jadis spoke; not very loud, but there was something in her voice that made the whole room quiver.
"Where is the Magician who has called me into this world?"
"Ah - ah - Madam," gasped Uncle Andrew, "I am most honoured - highly gratified - a most unexpected pleasure - if I had had the opportunity of making any preparations - I - I -"
"Where is the Magician, Fool?" said Jadis.
"I - I am, Madam"
"You?" said the Queen in a still more terrible voice.

"Stop!" cried the Witch."Stand back. No,further back.If anyone goes within ten paces of either of the children,I will knock out his brains." She was poising in her hand the iron bar that she had torn off the lamp-post, ready to throw it. Somehow no one doubted that she would be a very good shot.
"So!" she said "You would steal back to your own world with the boy and leave me here."

Hi, Jadis fans, Just found out that Mark Gordon will produce the next Narnia film The Silver Chair, it's not clear if Walden Media are involved in it and if they are not the film won't be released till 2018. No cast has been picked yet but I hope Tilda will play the Green Lady. Posted over a year ago

"Going where?" asked both the children.
"Where?" repeated Jadis in surprise. "To your world, of course."
