if Tilda was not chosen to play Jadis, what actress do you think should have played her?

Its a hard one answer as Tilda was the first choice for Andrew Adamson he saw her in her film Orlando and said there's our witch.Maybe Bridget Fonda could have played her as she played The Snow Queen but I don't think it would have been the Jadis Tilda played, Bridget would have stuck to the book and would have had black hair lots of white makeup and deep red lips much like Barabra Kellermann in the BBC tv show. It was Tilda who desided to make Jadis blonde and very little make up as she said 84% of the look of Jadis was down to her and every film she has made I can see Jadis in it as Tilda like Jadis never changes. :)
