Looks like we’ll be able to meet this all-star cast sooner than expected!
On May 5, SBS’s “Scarlet Heart: Goryeo” announced that they will begin airing on August 29, following the end of “Doctors.” This also means it will be SBS’s Monday-Tuesday drama.
Previously, they announced that the broadcast date was confirmed for sometime in September, which has evidently been revised since.
“Scarlet Heart: Goryeo” is a 100 percent pre-produced drama that is set in Korea’s Goryeo Dynasty, but with added modern and fantastical elements as well. It is based on a Chinese web novel and drama.
The drama will also feature an all-star cast that includes Lee Joon Gi, IU, Kang Ha Neul, Hong Jong Hyun, Nam Joo Hyuk, EXO’s Baekhyun, and Ji Soo, to name a few.

Entitled "Scarlet Heart", the new drama is the Korean version of a famous Chinese television series, which in turn was based on a book of the same title.
The drama is a romantic fantasy in which a 21st century woman is sent back to a historical time period and is forced to adjust to a comparatively primative lifestyle.
The Chinese version of the drama was immensely popular all over Asia, resulting in high anticipation for the Korean version.
According to the Korean media, the new drama starring IU and Lee Joonki is roughly scheduled to air in the second half of 2016, so stay tuned to moonROK for more details on the singer's new drama.

Heo Ji Woong wrote on his Twitter on November 5, "It is wrong of a publication company to propose an extremely strict guideline in the interpretation of literature. Interpretation of all literature can be rediscovered moment to moment through one's own will and capability. Zeze would not agree with the publication company."
