Is Barney Dead In the Future? *Theories not Spoilers*

meh..weve only seen future robin once and that was fictional. would they really let barney die? why!? it makes no sense :S

It's just a theory but this literally makes me cry...

I know, they are looking for hints that aren't there to be honest. I'm praying it's not true because I loooooe barney. I just wish they would show him and Robin in a future flash =( I am just super glad that Marshily are still together in 2030 =D

dude-um-wow,lol.i know u say u dont believe it but i kinda do-thats kinda spooky.i dont like that now.srsly if come to find out that this is true then for 1.Its ruined.and 2.Thats just awlful b/c now im going to be thinking about how he's going to die and all this other stuff.BUT still though i doubt that the Future Ted would talk about 'Uncle Barney' in the tone he does so much if he has died.so i hope he doesnt die-although it'd be a really surprising twist.like good creativity for the writers but idk i also think that they're reading too much into it(@ least for the sake of our spirits we'll believe its not true)

I don't think so, either. I mean, just because he talks about Barney in more past tense, doesn't mean he's dead. It may mean that his personality has changed a little bit, or that was what Ted was thinking at the time. When you're talking about a story in the past, you usually use past-tense verbs.

OMG !!! THAT ARE THE BIGGEST SHIT I HAVE EVER SEEN !!! THIS IS A COMEDY SHOW ! IF THEY KILL THE MAIN CHARECTER IT WILL BE THE BIGGEST DISASTER !!! AND PLEASE THINK LOGICAL - DOES THIS MAKE ANY SENSE ?

Barney is mentioned in the future when in the episode where they where all racing to some where and Barney tripped ted up so Robbin could win the race and Ted said "to this day, Barney still says he fell" (paraphrasing)
