House MD Fans Question

CALLING ALL EXPERIENCED THEATER PEOPLE!

I got assigned a REALLY big role in our play for reading. I have 27 lines to memorize before monday... anyone have good tips for memorizing lines?

I say it over and over with the words and memorize those lines/line then I say it without until I get those correct then I learn all of them that way then go back in order, and when ever you mess up, go back and read that part. And keep doing that. That's what I do. Then Read it to someone

yeah, and like lyrics, you might wanna try giving it some rythm so you memorize more easily ;).

I do this too. It helps me a lot. of course everyone kinda has their own style. Do whatever feels comfortable for you.

what i do is I read through it a few times and then once I have done that I do like a read through with my friend and my sis and my mom. Then I perform it with one of them holding the script so if i mess up I can do that scene over while she says the lines. Or I make up a song.
