Yeah i guess it can be funny to watch/read x3 when i first got into the fandom i was always starting ship wars! i was such a freakin troll ( WAS ) i just really really disliked USUK, you can pair France with a spoon and England with a fire hydrant and i wouldn't care, usuk just rubs me the wrong way O_O maybe because it's super popular some usuk fans get the most defensive (some not all) but ah oh well all pairings have odd fans :P

Sure, some shipping wars can be amusing at times, but there are times when it goes to far and it turns out into an all out fight over the internet.

^Because fangirls are stupid, if every one respected everyone's opinions then we wouldn't have real wars....( but people are never ever going to respect others opinions... Yeah some people may but in general it's impossible.....)

@pumpkinqueen: Same here. I mean I'm a huge UKUS shipper, I'm not ashamed either. I just don't fight over it. I have my preferances and they have theirs. That's all there is to it. I don't go around forcing people to like UKUS like some fangirls.

I'm friends with a lot of UsUk fans, but I've run into some that I've wanted to kill. Frankly the fans have kinda ruined the pairing for me, one of the reasons why I can't stand it.

I agree. I mean, I've hated the pairing since day one, and I know a lot of amazing authors with some of my favorite fanfictions and they ship USUK. It's the fangirls that freak out if one person doesn't ship USUK. I personally ship USCan and FrUk. What really annoys me though is that people say it's incest. The only people I actually consider brother are Prussia and Germany, and The Italy brothers. England found America in the grass for petes sake! It also makes England seem like a pedophile if he's in a relationship with America anyways. It's like raising a child and then having a romantic relationship with the child you raised all their life. It just isn't right. And I have to agree that the crazy USUK fans are the reason I hate the pairing the most.

I honestly can't stand shipping wars. Completely pointless and stupid. I'm a bit of a pacifist so I don't get into any pointless shipping wars. While I love FrUk and despise UsUk, I don't run around screaming about how much UsUk is invalid and imaginary and FrUk is valid and canon. I don't start fights with people who scream and throw a fit if you say ONE bad thing about their pairing. Well, I don't start fights with anyone period. A complete waste of energy and time. It's one thing to debate, it's another to argue. Respecting opinions isn't all that hard, my dears~ -smiles-

The shipping war is completely pointless. Especially when it's about the yaoi pairings. They most likely won't ever become canon, so what's the point with arguing about it?
