Big time. I look up history to understand the characters better, the scenes, and I never ship a pairing unless I know their history and their history is strong enough. This isn't your normal anime, the characters are humans, they are countries. There is going to be a LOT to their character. I say, if Hetalia hasn't gotten you more into history or got you to study more about it, you shouldn't be watching it.

I love studying history! It really is fascinating and a really important subject to know. I've always liked studying it but Hetalia has definitely made a huge impact <3

Already studied history before, planning on being a history teacher. But yes, I'd say Hetalia has gotten me more so into it. So, really into history now, hahaha.
