Do you think Twilight is copying Harry Potter?(read the details first :))

no its just a good way for film company's to make more money, spreading it out more so people have to pay more!

Nah, Like the 7th Harry Potter Movie, there is so much detail that it would be a 5 hour movie....It is also a money-making decision...if someone like's the book's/movies enough, they'll pay for both. I am NOT siding with Twilight!!! I am a die-hard HP fan, I am just saying that i think it is unfair to ASSUME that they would copy. Who know's their reasons.

I've seen the second Twilight movie and I thought it was a lot of crap.Harry Potter's still better.Nothing happened in Twilight.I almost fell asleep.

Maybe they are, a little bit, they probably thought, 'hey, that's a good way to milk money out of our zombie fans!' but it's not like the idea was purely the creation of Warner Brother's. I haven't seen any Twilight movies, frankly, I wouldn't waste my time, but from what I've heard online, they don't have much to do in the last book anyway, so seeing how they are gonna stretch it out should be laughable.

That said, I am not impressed that Twilight wishes to compete so much with Harry Potter, first jumping on the original HBP release date, and now releasing one of their crappy movies so soon after DH.

I think they are. First off, what could they possibly put into two movies? There were few significant things in the book Breaking Dawn. Renesmee happened, Imprinting happened, Bella into vampire happened... and that's about it. I could say the Volturi thing happened, but nothing really did happen. Just pointless build up.

In Deathly Hallows, so much happened and all of it was really vital. The Seven Potters, The Wedding, Grimauld Place, The Ministry, The Woods, Godric's Hollow, Xenophilius Lovegood, Gringotts, The Final Battle (part 1 and 2), Malfoy Manner, Snape's Memory, The Sacrifice Harry has to make, The Epilogue, all of the deaths, finding the Horcruxes and the Sword of Gryffindor of course, even Dumbledore's Story has significance. That is just to name a few. You have to fit that into the movies, and it's ALL important.

Also, it's pretty stupid to make the Twilight movies come out RIGHT after the Harry Potter movies. Everyone knows Harry Potter movies are the most successful movie series ever, and that is not opinion. That is statistics. That will, if anything, make them lose money.

Why would they be copying? I mean just because they are splitting Breaking Dawn into two movies doesn't mean they're copying.

They will split Breaking Down in 2 movies because
the book has lots of details.
and I don't think Twilight needs to copy,ok,harry potter is like 100 time better,but twilight is trying to reach independence and to stop being compared with harry potter

BD had barely anything but DH has sooooo much and look at HBP 2 1/2 hours BD could be that lenght anyway stupid copiers not fair not fair not fair:(

They need to cut it into 2 parts, because movies arent supposed to be more than 2 hours, and theres alot of detail in the books, so they need to put 2 parts!

Personally, I think that Twilight copies off of a lot of popular literature. I know that there's probably only so much you can do with a vampire falling in love with a human, but STILL...Vampire Diaries, anyone? (Please consider only the book versions, I HATE the TV series).

If you're just talking about the last movies...hmm, slightly. It seems like they are trying to outdo HP in awesomeness (which would NEVER happen :) ), but it's too subtle of a coincidence. So who knows, really?

No, any good film maker would do it because it gets way more detail and it would make the movie better.

No I don't think they are copying. If they where then all the other books to movies that are made into two films would be copying..example The Hobbit is going to be made into two films and I hardly doubt they would bother copying HP.

No. Both J.K.Rowling and Stehanie Meyer wrote a lot of things in their books and both need a lot of them in it so, the directors need them in but they can't have like 5 hour movies can they? So, they are doing the only thing they can- make the movie into two parts, which should be pretty cool either way

Of course they are copying. They saw a good idea and they took it. Just like they are making a Twilight version of Pottermore now. But unlike Deathly Hallows, Twilight doesn't have enough content to fill 2 movies. Breaking Dawn is gonna be soooo slow. I thinking that Meyers may have started the HP/Twihard comparison herself to be honest.
