Harry Potter Question

What do you think you would be like if Harry Potter never existed?

Think about it.

I probably wouldn't be so interested in reading. The series made me appreciate books. I understand how much work an author puts in his or her works. I became inspired. I now want to write books myself.

IMAGINE. If there wasn't any Harry Potter, there would be no WRock, no A Very Potter Musical, no Potter Puppet Pals...

I can't imagine how empty my life would be like. Can you?

The series, this may sound odd, but it made me a better person, in a way.

How has Harry Potter influenced YOUR life?
:) <3

I feel EXACTLY the same way =) Harry Potter was my first real book series that I read, and I was hooked from page 1. It has taught me a valuable lesson about reading and has inspired me to read a lot more books and be open to more "imagination" in the boundaries of reading. If Harry Potter never existed, (that thought makes me cringe >_<) I wouldn't be the person I am today. It has taught me the treasury of friendship and how to overcome your greatest challenges to achieve your goals. Thank you SO much JK Rowling for writing the best story I have EVER read =D

Yes,I totally agree ^-^ It's great to see Harry,Ron and Hermione sticking together, no matter what the consequences and what sacrifices they have to make. The bond between them all is unbreakable and it makes me smile when I think that true friendships like that really exist =)

Yeah :) It gives me a warm feeling...I like to think that after all these years, my friends and I would still have a strong bond, just like the Trio! :D

I think the most important part of HP in my life is just having a common topic to share/discuss/joke about with lots of other people and people who are different from me. Look at how many fans the spot has and how many other spots there are because HP was vast enough to create enough interesting aspects. As for the musicals and Potter Puppet Pals, it would be sad to not have that kind of comic relief. There again is a demonstration of the HP community of fans.

My life would be soo boring. What would I do without the WRock, and the movie marathons, and all the Harry Potter references I find everywhere? And more importantly, without these books, what would I do with my life? Since the first time I read the first book I've been determined to become a writer, to give back what this book series has given me. Who would I bee without Harry Potter? I haven't got the slightest idea.

it's hard to believe, but Harry Potter has only been around for half my life. so I know what life without it was like-boring! but now i really cant think of life without it! It was the first chapter book i willingly read all the way through, it was what got me hooked on fantasy, and I also look at it as what pushed me to read some series i am really fond of now-Lord of the Rings and Naruto among them-both series have magic in some form in it!

It was like a stepping stone for me...after I read Harry Potter I read Lord of the Rings which is harder to understand and get hooked with but HP definitely helped! :)

IF HARRY POTTER NEVER ENTERED MY LIFELESS LIFE?
I would be... well, I wouldn't be thinking or relating something to Harry Potter every time someone says "broom", "owl", or "stick".

ON A COMPLETELY SIDE NOTE - isn't J.K. Rowling pretty? From what I've seen before, authors aren't generally that... attractive. From what I've observed, of course. I hardly look up what an author looks like in person if they don't have a picture on the back cover.

No AVPM/S?? I think I might cry...

But truthfully, if HP didn't exist, I think I would probably be some lame kid who has nothing unique about her. HP brought out the best in everybody and if it wasn't for JKR I think the world would've been much different because it wouldn't be different.
