The Cullens are weird. Not in a vampiric sense but in common sense. They are trying to stay camouflaged but they keep failing. Lets review, shall we?

1. They go to high school over and over again. They try to blend in with the other non-sparkly, non-Adonis(y), non-vampiry and nonsensical humans. Aside from this, they pout in the cafeteria during lunch hour. Why? They could just eat their lunch elsewhere. They don't eat, so it's unlikely that no one has noticed them not eating.

2. High school is a crowded place. People keep bumping into each other at some point. Let's say the Cullens are very careful to stay away from people but the other way round doesn't hold good. People who aren't Mary-Sues are also clumsy. Anyone who bumps into them will feel their cold skin. How do they manage to keep an entire school of clumsy teenagers at bay?

3. Carlisle Cullen is a doctor. How does he treat patients without touching them? Do patients not notice that their doctor feels like a frozen turkey while treating them?

4. The Cullens follow the "If you got it, flaunt it" rule. Shiny Volvos anyone? When everyone is crawling on in their 'trucks' the Cullens need high-speed Volvos. They could have bought a station wagon and merged with their peers.

5. The Cullens live in a glass house in the woods. Don't people occassionally stumble upon it? [This is before Bella Swan came fawning over Edward].

6. Elizabeth Taylor had violet eyes; she became a superstar. The Cullens have yellow eyes due to they vampire-vegetarianism. They are immensly good-looking. So wouldn't they be recognised for this and be flooded with questions and suspicions? Though not stardom, a good number of people must have noticed this weird feature and researched the same or atleast had the sense to ask them about it.

It seems that the author tried to make Bella Swan intelligent and deductive by making everyone else dumb. Being as old as they are the Cullens should have been intelligent as well. This is not the case. What is the point in trying to be discreet when all they are doing is making themselves stand out?

This is not my opinion. It's an excerpt from an article titled link. I have however come across a few people who have voiced the same thing. Just curious to know people's thought on this.

Kenny Herzog

I’ve read all of J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter books—devoured them, really, because whatever her flaws, the lady does a terrific job at building compulsive narratives and enjoyable worlds. But the more time I spend away from the series, the more its problems get to me, and the biggest problem of them all is the main character himself. Harry is, to put it kindly, an absolute no one. He suffers...

Here is an 5 Part Essay wriiten by someone on livejournal that proves Edward isnt abusive.
-------------------------------------------------

I have been having feelings of guilt off and on about shipping Edward and Bella. I'm sure the majority of us Twilight fans of have heard about the accusations of Edward being an abusive boyfriend. The accusers are able to back it up with proof of certain behaviors that count as abuse that you can read off of a red flag list. What they refuse to do though is look at the big picture. All they see is the surface and refuse to ask why. They even go to such far...
