Before the twilight fans began a riot at a hot topics.
Twilight is a best-selling, supernatural teen romance series containing the events of a human (Bella), a vampire (Edward), and a werewolf (Jacob)situations in Forks, WA as the books progress. It has attracted a significantly high fan-base and it's movies grossed to over $700 million box-office. Much of the saga's acclaims range from young fans of the books and movies, all the way to the current President of the United States. Such acclaim is also met with the negativity of the public that are against the over-all plots and messages from the saga itself. The conflicts of interests towards the saga have been anything between the little to no strong character developments to the Twilight fan-base attacks. The fan-base of the saga has pitted Twilight against everything from Anne Rice novels to Lord of the Rings. But the most notable book/movie series that the fan-base usually target are those of the Harry Potter fandom. The feud between the fans of these book series have continued for well over 5 years and counting. Fan violence was a major factor as to why the fan battle has persisted for this long. Tales of violent incidents (most of which was allegedly that of the Twilight fan-base) are being told on the internet, as well as found their way onto news story outlets. The most noted reported incident was that of a fifteen year old twilight fan that filed a false police report in Florida. The Harry Potter fan-base does contain it's own violent fan stories, but the most popularized are the violence of the alleged twilight fans against persons who dislikes or utterly hates anything to do with twilight. Some of fans that aren't particular to the twilight saga were the main victims of the obsessive fan-base. Nowadays, the hatred is now concentrated in online forums and web pages entirely, reducing the violent attacks as the comprehension of criminal laws became apparent from all fandoms. But as the Harry Potter series ended in 2011 and the fans bidden a fitting farewell to the series penultimate movie, 2012 would have the Twilight movies facing it's own end. Yet, there is talks from Summit that the studios are prepared to start the production of a movie or television series based on the books of the Twilight saga. The only difference is, that this new venture would not contain many of the original cast of the movies. There have been discussions and debates about this on Fanpop, Squidoo, and other websites. But the gist of it all is that the alleged fandom attacks had finally trickled back down to petty name-calling and insults on fan pages and forums. The disagreements are not quite and would probably never be over, but at least violent incidences have appeared to cease. And that is obviously and sadly, the only claim at fandom peace in this and other versus web spots.

This is not my opinion. It's an excerpt from an article titled link. I have however come across a few people who have voiced the same thing. Just curious to know people's thought on this.

I’ve read all of J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter books—devoured them, really, because whatever her flaws, the lady does a terrific job at building compulsive narratives and enjoyable worlds. But the more time I spend away from the series, the more its problems get to me, and the biggest problem of them all is the main character himself. Harry is, to put it kindly, an absolute no one. He suffers...

Here is an 5 Part Essay wriiten by someone on livejournal that proves Edward isnt abusive.
-------------------------------------------------

I have been having feelings of guilt off and on about shipping Edward and Bella. I'm sure the majority of us Twilight fans of have heard about the accusations of Edward being an abusive boyfriend. The accusers are able to back it up with proof of certain behaviors that count as abuse that you can read off of a red flag list. What they refuse to do though is look at the big picture. All they see is the surface and refuse to ask why. They even go to such far...
